Feed the Monkey
- On the Character & Campaign tab, open Feed the Monkey.
- Give it a Title and a Date if it belongs to a particular session. Both are optional.
- Type or paste into Write it out, or upload a document: PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, RTF or ODT.
- Press Add to memory.
LoreMonkey condenses it into campaign memory, so Ask and suggestions can use it, and drafts any updates it implies for your notes files. Those wait under Updates waiting for you until you review them. Nothing in your notes changes until you apply it.
Good uses:
- A session nobody recorded. Write what happened in a few lines and give it the date it was played.
- Your own write-up of a session that LoreMonkey also recorded, when yours has details the table didn’t say out loud.
- A handout or lore drop from your game master.
A very long write-up may be too much for one go. LoreMonkey then saves nothing and asks you to add it in two parts.
Import notes you kept before LoreMonkey
If your group kept notes before LoreMonkey, bring them in so it can recall them:
- Open Settings → Memory and expand Import notes you kept before LoreMonkey.
- Paste a Google Docs link (shared so anyone with the link can view it) or upload a document.
- Press Import notes.
Only the text is kept. This is free and stays on your PC. To also have your notes files written from it, use Generate from documents, which reads this archive by default.
