Review updates to your notes

Where to find them

After Update campaign notes, or after you feed LoreMonkey a write-up, the proposals appear on the Character & Campaign tab, in a panel called Updates waiting for you. They’re drafted by LoreMonkey, and nothing is saved until you apply it.

Each session or write-up is its own group, headed with where it came from: “read from the transcript” or “read from what you wrote”. Apply each group on its own.

What each change shows

Every change has:

  • a tick box, on by default
  • the entry’s name, and the file it goes in
  • a short note saying why
  • a tag: new entry, updated, or keywords for the keywords line

Inside a change, each piece of text that would be added, replaced or removed has its own choice: Add or Skip, Use new or Keep, Drop or Keep. You can take the new wording for one line and keep yours for the next.

Changes that remove detail are flagged. A change that would take something out of your notes says so, and every removed line starts on Keep. Switch a line to Drop only if you want it gone.

Fix a change before applying it

  • Edit opens the whole change as text, so you can rewrite it. Save keeps your wording; Back returns to the piece-by-piece view.
  • Rename appears on a new entry. Use it when the transcript misheard a name, so “Gareth” goes in as “Garreth”. The rename also applies to the other updates in the same group.

Apply or dismiss

  • Select all and Select none tick or untick every change in a group.
  • Apply selected writes the ticked changes into your notes.
  • Dismiss throws away the whole group without changing anything.

Applied changes are ordinary edits to your notes. You can change them afterwards on the Character & Campaign tab or in the Compendium like anything else.
