LoreMonkey is not another voice in the call. It works beside the table, keeping the record and giving one person a private place to look things up.

Know who said what
Connect the Discord desktop client and tag each person with a character name once. The transcript follows the conversation without adding a bot to the channel.
In-person games can use a microphone and local voice matching instead. A room full of overlapping voices is harder to separate, so Discord gives the cleanest labels.

Find the detail behind the question
Imported notes and old transcripts are indexed on your computer. Live prompts can pull relevant passages into the current scene. Standard and Pro plans also include Ask LoreMonkey for direct questions between games.
Ask answers include the sessions used as sources. If the answer is not in the archive, the app says so instead of filling the gap.

Get a prompt without losing the scene
During play, LoreMonkey checks moments such as a direct question, a returning character or a decision tied to campaign notes. A delivered prompt is short enough to read while people are still talking.
Cooldowns and delivery limits keep the app from filling the screen. You can change both, and the activity log shows every model check.

Import notes once
Bring in the character sheet, primer, NPC files or session notes you already keep. LoreMonkey turns them into campaign context files you can edit, and indexes them locally for prompts and Ask.
Free includes one context import so you can see the loop before you decide on a paid plan.

LoreMonkey can sit beside a player or a game master. The campaign files and prompts change with the role you choose.

GM campaigns use a primer, forward plan, player notes and NPC files. The app can surface an opening without taking control of the scene.

Your table's audio stays on your PC
Transcription, campaign indexing and speaker matching run on your computer. The resulting files are yours to read, back up or delete.

Before you install
The practical details
Does a bot join the voice channel?
No. LoreMonkey reads speaking activity from the Discord desktop client already running on your computer. Nobody new appears in the call.
Is this another cloud call recorder?
No. Audio stays on your PC. LoreMonkey is built for tabletop campaigns: speaker-labelled transcripts, player and GM modes, and private lookup beside the table rather than a bot in the channel.
Do my players need to install anything?
No. One person runs LoreMonkey. The rest of the group carries on as usual, although everyone should know that the session is being transcribed.
Is this for players or game masters?
Both. Player mode works from one character's goals and history. GM mode uses campaign plans, player notes and NPC files. Each campaign has one mode.
Is there a Mac or Linux build?
Not yet. LoreMonkey is currently available for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). Release news for other platforms will be posted in Discord.
Does the Free trial include Ask LoreMonkey?
No. Ask starts with Standard. Free includes local transcription, one context import, one recap and a first-session allowance for live prompts.
Does it work for games outside D&D?
Yes. Set the game system for each campaign. The prompts, recaps and answers use that system instead of assuming one ruleset.
What leaves my computer?
Audio, transcripts and archive search stay local. AI features send the relevant text to LoreMonkey's server and then to the model provider. The app shows each model call in its activity log.
